Completion Process for Students

  • Student successfully completes all admission and course requirements for certificate
  • Student obtains Graduate Certificate Completion Form
  • Student completes form and submits to the designated certificate director or department staff member

Completion Process for Departments

  • Designated certificate director or department staff member confirms satisfactory completion of certificate course requirements. Students must have a 3.0 average in the graduate certificate coursework to be eligible for completion
  • Designated certificate director signs completion form and obtains the appropriate college dean's signature
  • Signed Certificate Completion Form is then sent to the Office of Graduate Certificates (OGC) in SVC1072

Completion Process for Graduate Certificates

  • OGC prints formal certificate of completion and forwards to the department for signatures of certificate program director and college dean. Signed certificate is returned to the Office of Graduate Certificates in SVC1072 by the department.
  • OGC notifies Registrar's Office of completion so that the student's transcripts can be updated
  • OGC mails formal certificate to student, unless department has requested an alternative process
  • Student should receive the formal certificate approximately 6 to 8 weeks after completing all requirements and submitting the certificate completion form to the department
