Dear Faculty:

Graduate certificates enable many students to meet their specialized and/or interdisciplinary educational goals and are an important tool in the University’s graduate recruitment. Graduate certificates complement graduate degree programs by providing the University with opportunities to respond quickly to emerging technological and professional opportunities.

Our dedicated faculty form the core of USF’s growing graduate certificate initiative. Thanks to your efforts, we now offer 58 graduate certificates that serve over 2000 students. Even more certificates are in developmental stages.

The Office of Graduate Certificates exists to support innovative graduate education and the University’s engagement with our ever-expanding community. We can assist your department with creating a new certificate, modifying an existing one, resolving student issues, and many other certificate-related functions.

Please note that the USF Graduate Council policies regarding new certificate criteria and student eligibility and admissions govern graduate certificate programs. (See link at the top of this page)If you have questions about the policies or other certificate-related matters, please contact our office at      813-974-2442.
