Description:
The College-Level Examination Program or CLEP provides students of any age with the opportunity to demonstrate college-level achievement through a program of exams in undergraduate college courses. There are 2,900 colleges that grant credit and/or advanced standing for CLEP exams. Click here

Format and Delivery:
All CLEP exams are administered via a computer-based program that provides for all of your needs (i.e. calculator, scratch paper, etc.). Examinees are given 90 minutes to complete any CLEP test.

Registration Process:
To schedule an exam submit the $25 computer usage fee by credit card only at the office kiosk at SVC 2060 Testing Services or submit your Clep $25 credit card payment at http://www.usf.edu/testing/payment.asp. You must contact Testing Services 24 hours after making your payment to schedule your test date/time -813-974-2741. Rescheduling, prior to test time, without cost will only be done under extreme emergencies which requires documentation.
Test and Fees:
The College Board charges $70 (starting July 1, 2009 the fee will increase to $72) for each CLEP test payable the day of the exam (check or money order made out to ETS/CLEP, or credit card). In addition, USF Testing Services charges a $25 fee (payment by credit card only at http://www.usf.edu/testing/payment.asp) for the administration of the exam prior to scheduling the exam.
Retest Policies:
Students may retake a CLEP exam, however, they may not repeat a CLEP exam of the same title within six months. Scores of exams repeated earlier than six months will be canceled and test fees forfeited.
Testing Schedule:
The CLEP testing schedule is Monday through Friday at 8:45 am, 10:45 am, and 1:45 pm. The CLEP test is also given on alternate Saturday's at 9:00 am. Contact Testing Services 24 hours after payment to schedule a day and time to take the test - 813-974-2741.
Seating for this exam is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis. During periods of increased demand, your first-choice of testing date and time may not be available. Examinees should register as early as possible to avoid potential scheduling conflicts.
NO WALK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
