Advance your Career with Professional Training Classes. USF Professional and Workforce Development (PWD) programs are geared to help you gain new, updated or complementary knowledge and skills to advance yourself in a chosen career field. Do you want to make a career change? We can help you explore career options and choices to meet your future goals. Courses are offered at USF Tampa, St. Petersburg, and the USF Downtown Center at the Port Authority Building on Channelside Drive. We also work closely with area companies to bring courses and tailored programs to their locations to better serve their employees’ needs. PWD provides numerous offerings of open enrollment classes and specially designed certificate programs of related courses. Our Financial Planner Certificate program begins Oct. 8. This 282-hour, 21-month program is designed to qualify and prepare students for the CFP® Certification Examination, developing the knowledge and skills needed to provide comprehensive, full-service financial planning services. Register for one of our free orientation sessions in September to find out if the program is right for you. You will learn about content, scheduling, financing and policies for the program, as well as the requirements for CFP® certification.

Expand your internal audit knowledge and prepare for the Certified Internal Auditor Exam! USF Continuing Education, in cooperation with the Florida West Chapter of The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA®), offers the CIA Exam Prep program designed for candidates planning to take the Certified Internal Auditor Exam. An intensive 64 contact hour program is offered in the fall, covering all four parts of the exam. Part I begins Sept. 20, and you must register by Sept. 12 so we may order your course materials before the first class. Register for the entire four-part series (by phone) for an additional discount!
