Center for 21st Century Teaching Excellence (C21TE)

assists faculty, teaching assistants, academic departments, and administrators with the teaching and learning aspects of USF’s mission. The C21TE goals are: 1) facilitate the instructional and career development of faculty and graduate teaching assistants, including the integration of technology, to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in both face-to-face and distributed learning, 2) serve as a resource for groups interested in an inclusive, high quality teaching/learning process and the integration of technology in teaching, and 3) enhance USF’s reputation for excellence in both teaching and learning.
The Center offers general services, instructional technology services, and distance learning support services. General services for instructors include workshops and seminars on instructional development with and without technology, course and curriculum planning, individual confidential consultations, classroom visits, and a reading room of resources on teaching and learning.

Classroom Technology Services

provides audiovisual and distance learning support for the classroom. Whether engaging students on campus or around the world, over 100 classrooms contain media-rich environments to assist with a variety of instructional technology needs. Additionally, faculty can schedule the delivery or check-out of equipment from a wide range of AV inventory or schedule videoconference, teleconference and streaming services in support of their teaching and research activities. When not supporting classroom instruction, these resources and services are made available to the broader USF community, both on and off campus, and often on a fee basis.
